Curvy Rue

My husband is a pretty lean guy, not skinny but lean. He's also really healthy and really in shape. Plus, he's 10 years older than me. I suppose it's lucky for me that he likes curvy girls. The other day on twitter he commented that he liked the curvier Sara Rue better than the skinny one. Why is it whenever a girl seems to lose weight she goes blonde too?

I read online that there is a lot of controversy about the weight she lost. Apparently she was like a size 8 or 10 to begin with and always said she was happy how she was but then suddenly decided to lose weight. I can imagine it's hard not to let Hollywood get to you. In reality to me she looked pretty good to begin with, maybe she could be a little more toned but I'd love to look like that right now.

I guess it's good that at least her skin isn't orange, work that pale skin girl!

    At first I thought the girl on the right was Reese Witherspoon! :lol: You’re right about newly skinny girls going blonde. Kate Gosselin did the same thing, not that she wasn’t skinny to begin with — just post-pregnant. I think you’re right about Hollywood really getting to you: if she really was “happy” with her looks, why the sudden change? Didn’t Ricki Lake end up doing the same thing?

    @Barb, i’m trying to think of who else have done it, i had thought of girls before but now i’m drawing a blank.

  2. I can only imagine the pressure those female stars must be under to conform to a certain image. I think she looked great before! I don’t get the going blonde thing either!

    I just thought that the dress she wore in her “before” photo was rather unflattering. Other than that I thought she looked great! (I have no idea who she is…)

    @Hanlie, agreed.

  4. I’ve seen that comparison pic before, and I wish whoever had made it used better pictures. I think she’s gorgeous before and after she lost weight, and by now she’s gained some of it back.

    And she was blonde as well as a red head while she was thinner, though she didn look pretty ordinary with the blonde hair.

    Anyway, my point is supposed to be that I really don’t like that comparison photo as there are much more flattering pictures of her both before AND after she lost the weight.

    @Luke, SaraRueFan, I didn’t mean any offense, I love her. I don’t think it’s wrong to say I prefer her just a little more curvy than the picture on the right. I just looked up some recent pictures and I think right now she looks amazing.

    @Robin, I couldn’t think of a way to say what I wanted to say without it sounded, well, angry I guess. Haha.

    Anyway, I agree. She looks amazing now. I have other recent pictures of her at my site if you’re interested.

    Wow, I had no idea she lost all that weight. Interesting. I do think that she looked better before. She should at least go back to being a red head. There are too many skinny blondes in hollywood.

    @JessinNYC, skinny and blonde, it’s like cloning in Hollywood.

    Wow! She looked so much hotter before! I’m naturally very thin, but I think its sick when women try and force themselves to look like someone their not through intensive plastic surgery/dieting. As long as you’re healthy, you should be proud of the body you have!:)
