This Week

Thinking 18 September 2009 | 9 Comments

  • I felt bad about myself a lot but tried really hard not to.
  • Financial problems reared it's ugly head again, which throws a big wrench into the whole healthy eating thing.
  • I got some really cool pictures.
  • I made more progress on my bike rides.
  • I went to the doctor for my allergies, everytime they tell me to get on the scale I want to beg them not to do it this time.
  • I wrote about my furkids over here a LOT this week.
  • I thought about giving up coffee again and then proceded to get more coffee. I figure with my commute and my hours it's just not in the cards right now.
  • I'm starting to wonder if eating foods that are not good for me is just me treating myself badly.
  • I'm in a very negative place right now, I hope I can come out of this fog over the weekend.

Been there and in and out of it like crazy this week. Finances and trying to change habits. I finally cut my self some slack and slowed down long enough to realize the worry doesn’t solve anything and just makes it harder to think, and that everything i do is a choice. I finally made myself something sweet and starchy and just relaxed for 20min and enjoyed that moment.

    I love the web photo.

@Krystal, it’s scary but it’s life, gotta deal with it one way or another.

You did a lot this week. A lot of good stuff. In our minds it feels like we didn’t do enough (I know, I’m going through the same thing this week!), and I think it’s that feeling that puts us in that negative place. We expect so much from ourselves that anything we accomplish no matter how big or small, still doesn’t put us in a positive light. But everybody else sees the things we did do and and is proud of us. We need to learn to do the same. (((hugs)))

@Robin, I know. It’s easy to feel that way so sometimes you need your friends to tell you that you do. :-)

  4. You have had a lot going on this week. It is so difficult to make ourselves a priority when life is just swirling around us. I just wanted you to know that you are not alone – I’m thinking of you, and I know there are lots of other people who are as well.

Take care of yourself this weekend. You are worth the effort!
