@josie, it's funny how many of us are so picky about meat, maybe it's because we don't want any reminders that it's actually meat.

I think part of the reason (besides the fact that I'm horrible at it) I don't cook is because I can't stand touching raw meat. Yuck. It's the worst feeling. I mean, it's flesh.

On the other hand, I have no qualms about eating it. No bones with my chicken though, and white meat only. Brian's pretty good about trimming off most of the fat before he cooks it because he knows how much I can't stand it. Even then, I still examine the cooked product and trim off anything I perceive as fat.

I can deal with pink if it's steak, as long as there's no blood or remotely reddish/pink juice. If it's pork or chicken and has the slightest bit of pink, I won't eat it.

Brian doesn't call me picky; he says I'm particular. Does that mean I live my life particularly? ;-)

No meat cutting over here. ;) Even when I wasn't a vegetarian, I couldn't stand the sight of uncooked meat products.

My husband says that I completely ruin my meat/food by examining it, pulling it apart, and discarding some of it. Particularly if I'm in a restaurant! Then I really drive him crazy.

I think it means that we are deliberate and careful - not picky. (That's what my hubby calls me!)

I just slice, cut, chop, or whatever it takes, then throw it in the pan.

My wife, on the other hand, carefully trims everything that even remotely resembles fat from the meat, as well as anything that looks less than desirable.

It is funny how different we all are.

haha, this reminds me of those Reeses commercials a while back! I, too do not like to see any red or oozing from my meat. It can't even be pink. at all. I cut my meat into tiny-ish pieces, smother it in A-1 sauce (well, for steak at least) and eat away. I like worcestershire on my pork.
