So Far So Good

Day 1: 30 min – Did a couple different dance workouts including Carmen Electra that I haven’t done in years. I love the hip hop dancing she does because it’s not as intricate as some other dance videos and it’s more fun, plus it kicks my ass. I wish she’d focus on the dancing part more an the striptease less because the striptease part just isn’t much of a workout.

Day 2: 10 min – I was already sore from a bunch of squats from Day 1 and I had worked out on Monday too, plus I had to get to a book club meeting. So, I did a 10 minute Kickboxing but for the arms but I had no weights. Next time, weights.

I’m eating well but haven’t gotten into a stride. I’ve been trying to keep track still but I miss days, particularly on weekends. I really just keep focusing on choosing good snacks over bad and we’ve been cooking more at home.

I’m anxiously waiting for when there is more light in the evening again so I can go for walks with my husband after work. I also can’t wait to get back to riding my bike! For now, I am exercising from home and boy are my thighs sore.

And on I go…

  3. Excellent job Robin! I think it’s great that you took it easy so you didn’t overdo it the second day. I miss the sunlight – this time of year it’s so gray here – I hate it.

  4. It is starting to get noticeably lighter out now! I noticed that this morning.

Keep going, small changes keep forming those great habits!

Oh, god! I cheaped out on Carmen Electra’s DVD and bought Cardio Striptease. The dude was SO cheesy, yet unbelievably creepy, I just couldn’t do it (mostly because I was laughing too hard)!

We’ve been walking in the dark, but we’re in a residential neighbourhood, so it’s *relatively* safe. That being said, I wouldn’t walk by myself in the dark, though. I miss the sun, too!

@Chibi Jeebs, Yeah that one dvd is awful, so easy and silly. 2 of the cds are actually fun and more of a hip hop dance style.

I hear ya… I can’t wait to get outside in the evenings and go for a little walk or run! Being inside just isn’t as fun

@She-Fit, it really isn’t, makes you go a little crazy…

  7. Do you think I could hang with Carmen? I totally can’t dance, but would love to try something at home, since I failed at my most recent try at a dance style workout.

I’m with you on the bike riding. All I can think about lately is going out for a ride. Spring will be here before we know it!

@Jess (Fit Chick in the City), I don’t think it’s hard at all, I’ll recommend a disc to you I just have to look at them to figure out which one it is.
